A wonderful and humourous story　　（2004-03-10）
This book is wonderfully written and a great adventure. I couldn't put it down. Theroux is full of sarcastic wit and humour and describes a variety of interesting experiences as he travels across China by rail. More a story of his experiences with the Chinese and Chinese culture rather than China, this book inspires you hit the rails. Theroux manages to make even negative experiences sound interesting and fun. A great read!
